Federal Tax Forms for 2012, 2013

Written By one-liners on Monday, November 5, 2012 | November 05, 2012

By STAFF Writer
November 05, 2012

It’s easy to get mixed up in the world of tax forms that you could be filling out for the 2012, 2013 tax year. Whether you’re a seasoned vet when it comes to tax season or this is your first time, it’s always healthy to make sure that you look at the forms you need to fill out.

Here’s a list of the most common tax forms, often considered terminology, and their basic definition to help you figure out which federal tax forms you need for filing taxes. Keep in mind that state tax forms are not included in this lists, and you should consult with your local library as to which forms you need for state taxes.

Form 1040

The most common of tax forms, nearly all Americans will file a 1040 tax form. There are a few varieties of the 1040, including the 1040A, 1040EZ and the 1040X. Which one you use usually depends on the income that you made and what tax form you have been provided with by your employer, so do not fill out the 1040 until you know exactly which variation of this form that you need.

Form 1098

Student loans, mortgage interest rates and tuition payments are all to be filed on the form 1098. 1098 is the federal tax form for deductions from what you would otherwise end up paying in taxes, so if you have any of the payments just mentioned, make sure to grab this form and look through it thoroughly before filing your taxes.

Form 1099

If money that you made doesn’t seem to fit on the 1040 federal tax forms, you more than likely should be using a 1099. Independent contractors and lottery winners are the most common examples of individuals who have to fill out a 1099. This should also be used when you withdraw money from a retirement account or a 401k, or when you make money off the sale of a home.

It’s easy to get lost in the world of tax forms this year, but if you don’t have one of these forms in front of you, you more than likely have to grab one of them. If you are looking for Federal tax forms, there is a list tax forms located at this link.

Coal India May Revise Production Target Again

Coal India needs to revise its output target again, said coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal. Earlier, the production target was scaled-down by the company. Now there is immense pressure from the industry in increasing the coal production.

The revision is in the offing is confirmed by Coal India chairman Narsing Rao.

Talking to the reporters he said, "Targets would be about production and off-take, and any revision has to be upwards obviously."

The previous scale down of Coal India was from 470 million tonne to 468.74 million tonne. In 2011-12 the company logged in 435.84 million tonne of coal production.

In the quarter of April-June Coal India has met 100 percent target of 102.46 million tonne. Despite 100 percent fulfilling the coal ministry is looking for increased production target.

At the Coal India part, the company is so far undecided whether to take the responsibility of extra production for meeting the domestic demand-supply gap.

Mr Rao said India is currently facing coal shortage of about 80-90 million tonne in the power sector and if the country import it and supply at the same price to the consumer then it won't be a big value addition.

By the end of this month a decision on contentious issue of fuel supply agreement (FSA) will likely be taken and 50 percent of power plants have signed it including NTPC. The July 10 board meeting of Coal India is expected to be finalising the revised FSA.

By ONE Liners Agency
June 24, 2012

CAIRO, Kenya - Amid repeated abuse and violence over its citizens working as maids in Middle East, the Kenyan government has barred export of labors temporarily.

In an statement by ministry of foreign affairs political and diplomatic secretary Patrick Wamoto the government said it aims to protect its people from abuse. The statement also read that Kenyan domestic workers employed in the Middle East ended up in distress and so the government has suspended the recruitment and export of labors temporarily with immediate effect to the Middle East.

The concerns mentioned in the statement for this action were complaints by its citizens related to mistreatment, overwork, lack of salaries, lack of communication with relatives and denial of food.

The statement note also read, "In some cases, Kenyans are lured by unscrupulous and unregistered agents who promise non-existent and supposedly lucrative jobs to desperate and unsuspecting Kenyans."

Over the years maids from across the world to Middle East often complained of horrible treatment in the region and especially in Saudi Arabia. The complaints included sexual abuse and rape.

Air New Zealand launches low-cost seats slashing domestic arifares by up to $10. The newly introduced low-cost seats are only for carry-on luggage for travellers.

The airlines said the low-cost seats suit style fares and it would be less by 6 percent in average.

The flexible fare structure was earlier introduced by the national carrier on Tasman and Pacific Island flights about fourteen months ago. The outstanding success of it is the result of new low-cost seats for the domestic destinations.

Air New Zealand also announced today the launching of $59 stand-by fares nationwide until June 30, 2011. These stand-by fares are applicable on many of the domestic destinations out of 27 or in any non-stop off peak flights.

The longest distances are Aucland-Queenstown and Auckland-Dunedin. The fare of this route one way is $79.

Just for $10 extra per person in one way journey the standby fares are made available, including a bag.

Air New Zealand group general manager Australasia airline Bruce Parton said there will be thousands of last minute bargain seats option for travellers every week on regional and main trunk routes.

Jetstar is to launch flights on December 22 from capital to Queenstown at $79 one way, and this would give tough competition to Air New Zealand.

Presently Air New Zealand has a monopoly on the route and its direct flight to Queensland was $266.

This year's theme of the show is "Mobility can change the world". Twelve countries are participating with 176 brands. The Tokyo Big Sight, as the ground is popularly known, covers an exhibition space of 35,100 sqm.

In 2009 there were 129 exhibitors to the show from ten countries. It was held at Makihari Messe, Nippon Convention Center in Chiba (Japan) between October 23 and November 08.

According to analysts, the Tokyo Motor Show stages future dream concept vehicles, but the global economy downturn and shift of auto market interests to neighboring country China resulted in diminished corporate interest in it.
