India says it has hanged the lone alive gunman of 26/11 Mumbai attack Ajmal Kasab, Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist, today morning at 7:30 India time. He was hanged at Pune's Yerwada Jail and buried there too. He was shifted from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail earlier.

On November 26, 2008, ten terrorists of Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) attacked Mumbai, financial capital of India. Nine gunmen were killed during the 60-hour siege.

26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack’s Key David Headley Reveals Details

INDIA NEWS - The Pakistani planners of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks paid great attention to the smallest details, reveals key plotter David Coleman Headley in Chicago. The 50 year-old Pakistani-American had played a significant role in Mumbai attacks, pleading guilty to all the 12 charges brought against him.

Mr. Headley had offered a rare behind-the-scenes look into the planning of the Mumbai attacks, which had left the financial capital of India paralyzed for three days. The plea bargain required David to fully cooperate and reveal whatever he knew about the Mumbai terror attack and he did exactly that.

The US Assistant Attorney Daniel Collins had carefully extracted from him the major and minor details of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. Headley's own attorney was sitting in the front row, as his client revealed the information in somewhat subdued tone. The information disclosed was remarkable and showed that the planners paid attention to every detail.

Headley told that he was even told how to pray so as to avoid "mihrab", i.e., the dark spot that appears on the forehead of the Muslims as their foreheads constantly rub against the floor while praying. He told that he was to enter India on a US passport, as a white American, so a dark spot on his forehead could arouse suspicion. Hence, he was asked to pray with his head up. Headley also informed the court that he had pointed out that train announcements in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus was made in English and Marathi. So if the attackers did not know the language, they would not be able to find out when the trains were arriving.

Headley and his companions: Sajid Mir, a handler of Lashkar-e-Taliba, and Major Iqbal, a Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent, had discussed in grea detail every aspect of the plan, from where the attackers were to land to how they were to be transferred from aPakistani vessel to an Indian vessel to thje nearest taxi stand, everything was discussed in great detail.
