India says it has hanged the lone alive gunman of 26/11 Mumbai attack Ajmal Kasab, Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist, today morning at 7:30 India time. He was hanged at Pune's Yerwada Jail and buried there too. He was shifted from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail earlier.

TOM CRUISE NEWS - "Mission Impossible" franchise Tom Cruise landed in the Mumbai city of India on Saturday evening to promote the fourth instalment of the movie.
Hollywodd superstar Tom Cruise, 49, was amidst tight security and accompanied by Bollywood star Anil Kapoor. He was dressed in blue jeans and blue and white checkered shirt. At about 5p.m. (local time) Cruise landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. He is staying till Monday at Taj Mahal Palace presidential suite which costs Rs. 5 lakh per night, as mentioned by sources.
Earlier, guests like Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and US President Barack Obama stayed in this 5,000 square feet presidential suite of Taj Mahal Palace and Towers in Colaba.
Fourteen other rooms have been also booked by Tom Cruise for his management people and entourage.
Cruise was to arrive with wife Katie Homes and daughter Suri, but he came alone.
A private party has been thrown later in the evening by Anil Kapoor at the Taj Rooftop in Colaba, and is supposed to be attended by top Tinsel world celebrities in a 150-guest affair.
Cruise will be part of main event on Sunday hosted by Anil Kapoor and Viacom 18 that will screen the movie for 1,500 fans ahead of the release of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The movie is releasing on December 21. Anil Kapoor has played a key role in the movie, Indian business tycoon Brij Nath.
Cruise will be meeting fans and interacting with them in the event, said organiser.
If time permits, Cruise will be visiting Anil Kapoor's home and meet his family, said sources.
Ahead of Mumbai visit, Cruise visited Taj Mahal in Agra. He spent an hour there.
Cruise was in Tokyo (Japan) as a part of the MI4 promotion before landing in India.

The 'Collars Galore' collection of Farah Sanjana offered metal work, blends of origami and architectural shapes.
'Ex-pression-ist' labeled of Mohammed Javed Khan laid emphasis on young, edgy menswear.
Prajwal Badwe and Shashank Raja came up with a fusion of Indian royalty with Elizabethan era.
The 'Steam Punk' of Siddarth Arya showcased 1980s cult punk movement.
Canadian Roger and Teresa oozes unisex appeal with their 'Retarded Velvet' label.
The 'Maar and Moumoune' collection of Urmi Ghosh was a reflection of tragic love story of Pablo Picasso and his beloved Dora Maar.
Nirajara Adhya and Thinles Chosdup with label Koslak showcased offered traditional costumes of Ladakh.
Nikhil Thampi laid emphasis on the winter/ feastive theme with deconstructed silhouettes.

Lakme Fashion Week Gearing-Up For Tomorrows Grand Opening

INDIA/ ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Starting Tuesday Lakme Fashion Week Winter/ Festive 2011 will be a fair share of glamour and glitz. The 6-day event from August 16 to 21 will focus more on business opportunities as the canvass is now bigger than before and buyers from US, Japan and Germany are also participating in it this time. The fashion extravaganza will provide a bigger platform this year to boost business.
CEO of event organiser Lakme Lever, Anil Chopra, said to news agencies, "In an endeavour to drive the business of fashion and meet the demands of ever increasing buyers, The Source, the business hub at LFW will be completely revamped. This season will see an increase in the number of designers exhibiting as well as designer and buyer related activities throughout the day."
He added that LFW Winter/Festive 2011 is looking forward for more buyers, both in domestic and overseas.
The fashion event will be held at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai where a line up of 87 designers are participating, including Rohit Bal.
For the first time a unique preview area named Talent Box is set up where the stall designers will be showcasing their collections.
As glamour and Bollywood go parallel in Mumbai, LFW is expecting few famous Bollywood celebrities either as showstoppers or to take the chair in front row audience.
Launched in last season of LFW, the entire event will be televised live on Internet through LFW TV broadcasts. Max Bupa, a leading healthy insurance company, will bring the live coverage of the fashion week.

MUMBAI: Mumbai and cities across the country paused in homage to the victims of the terror attack here on its first anniversary marked by candlelight vigils, prayer meetings and reassuring display of security by city police.
Bearing its sorrow with fortitude, Mumbai remembered its dead as the country stood united behind it in grief and resolve to vanquish terror a year after 10 gunmen arrived here from Pakistan with their weapons blazing to snuff out the lives of 166 people during a bloody 60-hour siege. One gunman Ajmal Kasab was captured alive.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal, teeming with ordinary people, Cama hospital tending to the sick and dying, India's icons of hospitality -- Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Oberoi and Trident, or the modest Jewish centre in Nariman House, all silently remembered the unprecedented attack on the country's financial capital as the terrorists scripted a gory tale in blood with bullets.
From Shahrukh Khan who turned painter for the occasion to Amitabh Bachchan joining a chorus of singers, India's film fraternity also paid tribute to the heroes and victims of the 26/11 terror attacks.
Black-clad commandos rappelled down tall buildings, as prayers and vigils were held across Mumbai and silent tributes were held in Parliament and before India's cricket Test match with Sri Lanka in Kanpur.
Showing solidarity with the people of Mumbai, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram unveiled a martyrs' memorial for 18 security personnel including policemen killed during the terror attacks.
Onlookers waved Indian flags and banners with slogans such as "End The Violence" as police commandos with new weapons and armoured cars tracked the route taken by the 10 gunmen who staged the attack.
