Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak declared November to be 1Malaysia National Family Month every year starting this year.
The Prime Minister said the 1Malaysia National Family month would give priority to the family perspective in socio-economic development of Malaysia.
Najib added the move would strengthen family institution that is key to success of the nation.
Private companies who would organize the Family Day events in conjunction with the celebration on national level would get 100% tax rebate on all the expenses, said PM.

The ministry, according to Najib, earlier this year had launched Women Director Programme to train up and equip women to hold decision making positions in companies. The Government has a goal of getting 30% of its workforce to be women in key role designations.
Between January 2011 and April 30, 2012 a total of 80,597 people took part in 1Azam Programme and Najib expects the figure to reach 100,000 by this year-end.
