Online business in Australia is growing rapidly during the financial year 2010-2011, reveals Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
In its research released on Thursday the ABS showed local businesses there received online orders of about $189 billion in financial year ending June 30, 2011, which was an increase of 32 percent to worth of $46 billion on the previous corresponding period.
ABS data also shows that the number of business houses receiving online orders have also grown from 13 percent to 28 percent.
The sectors which received more online orders were wholesale trade and manufacturing industries.
The retail businesses covered only 35 percent of the total online orders received.

According to Google Australia, one in five searches were local and one in three were on mobile devices.
Google also revealed that it received more searches for pizza than for pop singer Lady Gaga. It said on weekends Australians search ten times more for Italian fast food than Gaga.
