Battlefield 3 Release Date

In U.S. Battlefield 3 release date for PC is 25th October, 2011, which is Tuesday. In UK games are released on Fridays, so we expect it to hit the stores on 28th October, 2011. For Australia and Japan the release date remains same as U.S. release date - 25 October 2011.

Battlefield 3 Beta Release Date

At recent E3 press conference EA confirmed a multiplatform open beta for BF3 in the month of September, one month ahead of its actual launching.

Battlefield 3 System Requirements

Battlefield 3 system requirements may be same as Bad Company 2 of Battlefield game. It is powered by Frostbite 2.0 engine that is based on Frostbite 1.5, the engine for Bad Company 2. However, Battlefield 3 may not support DirecX 9, and it also won't run on Windows XP.

Basic system requirements for Battlefield 3 are as below:

Operating System: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Graphic card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card.
Graphics card memory: 512 MB

Australia Launches Investigation Into Racist Videos

By MALILA Harris AUSTRALIA NEWS – In a recent brawl over the racist videos and comments allegedly posted in Facebook by troops serving in Afghanistan, Australian Defense Minister Stephen Smith has apologized to his Afghan counterpart, Abdul Rahim Wardak. He also assured an investigation into the matter and would take steps against the guilty. The videos show Australian troops using unwarranted racist comments against Afghans such as smelly locals. Australia's Seven Network News broadcast the material on Thursday. It is reported that more than 1,550 troops have been serving in Afghanistan’s southern Uruzgan province. Mr. Smith said the soldiers who were found guilty of racism would be recalled from Afghanistan. In one video soldiers were making fun of an Afghan man who fled from the site of an explosion and mocked him as a “scared….mufti”. China, India Economies Vulnerable To Natural Hazards: Study

By STAFF Reporter August 11, 2011 The economies of China, India, Indonesia and Philippines face maximum risk due to natural disasters, reveals a report released by Maplecroft, an analysis and mapping company. The firm mentions these emerging economies lack the combating capacity from the disaster caused naturally and also from its impact. It adds, Japan and US are also highly exposed to such natural hazards, but they are well equipped to combat with the impacts. In its Natural Hazards Risk Atlas 2011, Maplecroft lists 196 countries across the world that are exposed to natural disasters such as tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, drought and tropical cyclones. According to the atlas, USA ranks on the top followed by Japan, China and Taiwan. These four countries are categorized as "extreme risk" and titled as absolute economic exposure to natural hazards. The remaining five countries in the top ten list are India, Philippines, Turkey, Indonesia and Italy respectively. T

A Harmless Prank Call Kills A Nurse

Two Australian radio hosts impersonating the British Royals phoned the nurse on duty looking after the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, was fooled to divulge the medical report. Later, the call was broadcast all over Australia radio, and then migrated to the entire world. Cambodia-Thailand Trade Recovering

By STAFF REPORTER October 17, 2011 In the first eight months of this year the trade between Thailand and Cambodia went up by 8%. Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh said yesterday the trade between went up to $1.93 billion. The export of Cambodia to Thailand was 125.6 million dollars, which is 17% lower compared to the same period last year, whereas the export of Thailand to Cambodia went up by 10% to 1.8 billion dollars. Director of Thai embassy's Foreign Trade Promotion Office, Jiranan Wongmongkol said trade between the two countries is seeing better recovery since August when the Pheu Thai Party came to power led by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. From EDITOR's Desk August 13, 2011 17 years later, the story continues with a simple photograph of a sea green eyed girl when a casual photography by McCurry turned out to be one of those captivating portrait that sear the heart and ran on the cover of National Geographic magazine in June 1985. The shy girl was among hordes of refugees at the refugee camp in Pakistan. The anger of those haunted eyes was apparent, which swept away the photography fraternity and not least the whole world, but after 17 years nobody actually remember her, even her name. The year is 2011 when a team from National Geography Television & Films brought McCurry to Pakistan to search the immortal face. They searched around Nasir Bagh where the refugee camp still stands lonely among multitude. After showing her photographs to number of people, they came to know the girl in the picture returned to Afghanistan and now lived in the mountains near Tora Bora. So, they decided to hunt the girl.
