The man with incredible superpowers, a man who believes in truth and justice, is no longer carry on with the American way. The comic hero and an American cultural icon, Superman declares in the new issue of Action Comics that he is being tired of his people saving actions explained as instruments of US policy, intending to give up his US citizenship.
"I'm tired of having my actions construed as instruments of US policy," the character says in a story that sees him flying to a Tehran protest.
In the comic he is seen being adopted by an American family and quite pissed off by the United States policy and said to be flying away from the country, serving the world.
The story has undoubtedly exaggerated as he only talked about give up his US citizenship, but it is being widely criticized by the commentators worldwide. Originally Superman was born Kal-El on the planter Krypton, before being sent to Earth by his Father Jor-El and short after the planet Krypton destroyed. In this matter, Superman does not forsake his original citizenship.
Action Comics co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio said that Superman had a larger issue of saving world and his eternal battle against evil deeds. However, he was always attached to his adopted home as a Kansas farm boy from Smallville.
In the latest comic, Superman dejection comes after Iran’s government that he has the reason of international dispute. In a scene he is seen standing mutely at the protest and consolidates people that he is with them.
In a dejected way he proclaimed that truth, justice and American way is not the only solution. "The world is too small, too connected." Superman says.
The nine page story is written by David Goyer.
