CHINA NEWS – China underlined his decisive role in peace process in South Asia and confirmed that as an “important member” it helps out India to restore peace and stability in the sub continent.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu said that the country was committed to restore peace and stability of Asia. She added that China was an important member of Asia and a responsibility to safeguard peace in South Asia. It emphasized on common development and said it was a common interest for all Asian countries to maintain a peace process.
Ms. Jiang said that China and India had to work together for stability in Asia as India was an emerging power in the subcontinent.
“China and India as neighbors and newly emerging powers, good neighborliness and friendship in pursuit of common development serve the common interests of both the parties,” she said.
She wished to see a calm, stable and prosperous South Asia and for that she couldn’t deny the important role would play by China. She said they would work on five principles of peaceful coexistence to work along with South Asian countries, including India. She stressed on good neighborliness and cooperation.
