This year everyone is looking forward to the World Cup! The betting world too. Yes, various teams and their players are being assessed for World Cup betting market these days. Let’s see what this year has in store for the astute gambler. Read on to know about betting markets!
Group Winners
The easiest way to find group winners is by looking at all the weak groups that lack clear favorites. Try and spot dark horse teams or the teams which may surprise the superpowers.
For example, Chile will be focused in Group B instead of Netherlands and Spain owing to their disappointing performances in the previous years.
Also note that France will be a favorite from Group E. On the other hand Switzerland is at top as it won all games in qualifying rounds.
Greece is also dicey as it can be the worst in its group. Japan in Group C is worth a look at 5/1.
Outright Winners
No matter how many teams may participate, everyone knows that there are just a few teams capable of winning. Out of the blue, may some team perform credibly and exceed expectations or even defeat a superpower. So the next thing to do is to eliminate these teams from consideration.
Consider Brazil, Spain, Argentina and Germany this time to bet on and win huge bucks. Judge teams from their qualifiers and deduce their strengths and weaknesses.
You should not consider France, England, Belgium and Colombia as they are untested at the World Cup level since they couldn't qualify in the previous tournaments.
I assign Spain (7/1) versus (11/2) Germany. Both are in the tougher group and that is what holds them.
Argentina (9/2), Netherlands and Italy at 25/1 aren't that suitable for betting too.
Top Goalscorer (Golden boot)
Surf the net for Golden Boot winners and find out the most potent striker of The World Cup tournaments.
Spot the teams that have weak opponents in their group like Honduras and Iran. Bet on someone who is most likely to advance to at least the quarter finals. Don't consider Ronaldo because of the tough groups.
Never forget that the key to success in this market is to wait for the tournament to begin before you place a bet. Don't put a price on a player early in March only to know he isn't playing in tournament because of an injury sometime later. The current favourites are Mario Balotelli 33/1, Karim Benzema 33/1, Mario Gomez 40/1, Alexis Sanchez 66/1, Edin Dzeko 80/1, Mario Mandzukic 125/1 etc.
Stage of Elimination
Draw up a plan and analyse each and every result of your team in the tournament. Know where a team will stumble and realize the importance of this plan. Brazil say is in the soft groups, but your plan will tell you that they're likely to compete with Holland, Italy or Germany before reaching the finals.
So, best of luck and happy betting while I keep guessing who will be the champion in this FIFA 2014 World Cup to pen down in my next forecast article.
