AT&T at last has announced of offering to its customers
shared data plans under no-contract. The offer is only for those who pay the
full price of handsets, or take part in the monthly installment plan, or bring
a compatible device to the network. It is also applicable to AT&T Next
customers.
Recently there has been immense pressure in the wireless
business. AT&T revealed the pressure is more with the budget-minded feature
phone customers.
Earlier this year T-Mobile kicked off no-contract craze in
the mobile market. Sprint too followed the same footstep with similar offers to
lure more customers under no-contract.
AT&T rep Mark Siegel said, "We see competitors on
our left and on our right... We're really focused straight ahead on what our customers
are asking for."
The share plans of the carrier are a bit confusing mix of
data, line costs and handsets. Below are the details:
