United Nation has named next year as 'Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.' 110 member-state voted in favor of it while seven opposed.
The resolution to observe 2014 as 'Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People' was passed on Monday, November 25, on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The day is usually observed every year on November 29, but this year it was moved before the scheduled date due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S.
