BATTLEFIELD 3 NEWS - Iran bans Electronic Art's Battlefield 3 video game in the country with cops allegedly raiding retail gaming shops and stocking the game, and also arresting if anyone found re-trying selling it.
Battlefield 3 does depict the United State led army invading into Iran and gunfights are seen in realistically rendered version of several landmarks such as Grand Bazaar of Tehran.
Iranian police spokesman said to media that all the computer shops are prohibited from selling it, quoting the game as "illegal".
Owner of games store said police raided shops and arrested its owners who tried selling the game secretly even before the ban was implemented.
An Iranian news agency writes in its Editorial that the game is "conditioning American youth for another war for Israel."
Battlefield 3 is one of the biggest hits of 2011 in which players defuse terrorism situations in either online or offline play.
