It's not the same Harry Potter game we used to play;  it's a bit macho, bit heroic Mr. Potter fighting for survival and to search and kill the arch enemy Voldemort's Horcruxes. So, you can understand, this new game, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is going to release on July 14, will be nothing less than an action thriller.

The genre is adventure but EA Sports has exaggerated the action quotient a bit extra. Mr. Potter will encounter dangerous creatures, adversaries in this game based on recently premiered the seventh and last edition of Harry Potter movie.

Reception

The game is quite acceptable from critics, though some have reservations about the game, saying, storyline is loosely related to film and novel so it makes it a bit unexciting. GameSpot awarder the game 5,0 out of 10 hailed as a game for fun loving adventure people, but scored less on live up to expectation. Nintendo Official Magazine gives 60%, saying it as an engaging attempt to involve teenage hero Harry into action game. Some critics heavily criticize the game, calling it lost to hold momentum and false hold the action genre. Some even call it a dark fantasy action drama mismatches earlier broomstick Harry Potter games.


Our Verdict – Impressively dark, quite similar to novel and the movie screenplay and ambitious attempt to compete with action games.
