The Civil Affairs ministry and National Commission for Disaster Reduction have sent 100 tents, 2,000 quilds and about 3,000 items of clothing to the flood-hit region.
A special work team has also been sent to the crisis region to direct relief work.
Ahead of the rain, there were drought in the region where over 3.5 million people suffered water shortages.
Official statement says the torrential downpour has brought some relief from the water shortages but still about 2.15 million are affected.
Also, rain has come as a relief to many farmers whose lands were affected by drought earlier.
