God Did Not Create Universe : Stephen Hawking Theorizes in 'The Grand Design'
By Ethan Markoff LONDON - In his latest book 'The Grand Design', British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking once again put a question mark on the line of faith, which says the universe is created by God alone. The book is written by Stephen Hawking and US physicist Leonard Mlodinow, who tried to make it clear that "Big Bang" was an undeniable theory of creation. The authors made it several attempts with a new series of theories that denied the role of creator in making the universe. “Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist,” Hawking writes. “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going.” Mr. Hawking came under the light of global readers when he propounded a series of new theories in his 1988 book 'A Brief History of Time.
