The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is being tagged to be bigger than any blockbuster movie released this year by gaming industry experts. The first person shooter game is expected to earn millions of dollars in revenues, despite the subsequent downloadble content, throughout the 2012.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops, which was released last had sold something about 18 million copies and had become the biggest selling game in the history of the States. The story was based on the Cold War. Despite its success, fans of the CoD series consider the Call of Duty Studio, the Infinity Ward, to be the standard bearers of the game.
The Modern Warfare 3 was always inevitable but nothing about its development was very clear. The co-founders of the Call of Duty series was sacked by the Activision for "breaches of contract and insubordination", although the duo had sued the Activision and the Activision had counter-sued them, the Call of Duty series was handed over to the new studio, formed by the Activision, the Sledgehammer Games, to remit a work on the CoD series.
The game picks up the story where it was left by the Modern Warfare 2. Russia had launched an attack on the United States and the Task Force 141 was appointed to gather evidence against the Russian ultranationalist leader Vladimir Makarov so that the Russians could be stopped and America saved.
