The little blue creatures are back to tickle your funny bones with a 3D adventure. Chased by the evil wizard, Gargamel, the Smurfs tumbled to the world of humans from their own magical one. The wizard is obsessed to catch the tiny creatures for his own evil purposes. Apart from defending themselves, the Smurfs must find a way back to their village before they are caught by the Gargamel.
Smurfs are based on the cartoon strip characters created by the Belgian cartoonist Peyo in the year 1958. The characters have been revived and popularized by the Hanna-Barbera's hit television series in 1980.
Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Sofia Vergara, Hank Azaria, and Katy Perry, the movie is a perfect family entertainment. The race of tiny blue creatures has been beautifully pictured with special effects and 3D. Their habits seem to be real that make the audience believe of their existence. The Smurf village has also been portrayed well with attractive blue, pink, and green combinations, taking the audience to the fairy land.
Written by David Stem and David Weiss, the story of the movie sincerely grabs the audience all the time. The essence of the movie is flawless direction by Raja Gosnell having credit of directing popular hits like 'Scooby-Doo', 'Never Been Kissed', and 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua'. His fabulous direction assures the audience a beautifully synchronized movie with interesting plot.
This 3D adventure movie is a must watch with several factors comprehending to its facts of flawless direction and engrossing plot. If nothing works, the outstanding performance by Neil Patrick Harris will surely hold to your seats. The movie is also a must for those who are the fan of Katy Perry as she is looking extremely gorgeous. The special and 3D effects implied in the movie are also commendable.
