JAPAN NEWS - The captured Chinese fishermen crew last week in the East China Sea was released by Japanese authority. An official report said. It was reported that at least 14 crew members were held by Japanese authorities for some clandestine activities in the East China Sea.

However, the authority said that they didn't free the captain of the vessel as he was in custody for further interrogation about the activity in disputed waters.

From last one week China had demonstrated protests over the capture and threatened that it would harm the bilateral ties.

The Chinese fishing boat packed forcibly Japanese coast guard patrol boats, which had been trying to block it. It was happened in the disputed island closer to Taiwan than to Japan. The island is claimed both by Japan and China.

In an official statement Sunday, the Chinese diplomat State Councillor Dai Bingguo advised Japan to take a sensible political move, else it would damage the relationship between the two countries.

It was reported that Japanese Ambassador Uichiro Niwa called four times, and in odd hours to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Japan official spokesman Yoshito Sengoku criticized the late hours disturbance by Chinese officials.

The released crew members are expected to fly back on a chartered flight to Fuzhou via Naha in Okinawa.
