Alex gets suspended from the team due to showboating during one of the games. His dad punishes him making him babysit his little sister, Emily (G. Hannelius).
The chemistry between Hutch Dano, 18, and G. Hannelius, 11, works great.
Dano said about G., "She's great. We went in for a chemistry read together just to see because we’re supposed to be brother and sister so we’re not gonna wing that one. We went in and she was so great. She knew all her lines. Not all 11-year-old actresses know their lines. It’s just not how it works but she was so professional. She knew everything she was supposed to do and our chemistry was really great. Just from the very beginning in the chemistry read and it’s only gotten better the more and more we’ve hung out on set."
About his Alex character, Dano said he's a real egotistical dude and is oblivious to feelings of others. He always thinks about himself, but he also loves his sister.
Den Brother will once again bring back the memory of tween version of The Tooth Fiary. In the movie Dwayne Johnson plays the role of an arrogant hockey player and learns a lesson in love. There is one basic difference in both the movie. Den Brother is not as funny as The Tooth Fairy, but it do follow the success formula of Disney Channel movies - cute lead star + positive lesson with touch of romance. This formula has worked great with kids.
Next month kids will get one more big hit from Disney, Camp Rock 2.
