INDIAN ELECTION NEWS: So far the richest candidate for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections is from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Deepak Bhardwaj filed his nominations papers from the West Delhi constituency and declared assets worth Rs 600 crore.

Deepak Bhardwaj belongs to Mayawati's party and he came on a tractor to the Rampura election office in West Delhi to file his nomination.

Bhardwaj is 58-year-old and owns businesses in real estate, hotels and also education. In Dwarka he runs a school and has plans to open 2 more schools in Dwarka and Dhansa. Both the places are in West Delhi.

Bhardwaj is a resident of Lajwanti Garden in West Delhi and owns a township project called Deepganga in Hardwar. He has a hotel on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway called Niteshpunj Hotel Complex.

The previous richest candidate declared assets worth Rs 514 crore. He is a Mumbai-based businessman and has filed his nomination as an Independent from Surendranagar. 53-years-old Khimji Patadia has declared assets worth Rs 514 crore. His assets are mainly in jewellery and real estate.

The other in rich series are Congress’s L Rajagopal from Vijaywada (Rs 299 crore), BSP’s Karan Singh Tanwar from South Delhi (Rs 150 crore) and SP’s Abu Azmi from Mumbai NW (Rs 122 crore).

Patna - It is perhaps the weirdest news or may be an exemplary example of corruption that passes all human imagination. In Bihar 298 women claim to give birth two or five children in a span of 60 days - the authenticity is perhaps doubtful but at least the government incentive scheme shows the record right. According to Bihar government's Janani Suraksha Yojana, a women gets around Rs.1,000 when she delivers a child. However, the scheme goes upturn and government has to pay whopping Rs.6.6 lakh as incentive to 298 women who claimed to be a mother of new born infants. The report is published by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) that exposes a different type of corruption in the state. This pandemonium was found in different districts in the year 2008-09. According to CAG report, the districts of Bhagalpur, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Kishanganj and Nalanda, had all those mothers who bore two to five babies at the span of 60 days. Cambodia-Thailand Trade Recovering

By STAFF REPORTER October 17, 2011 In the first eight months of this year the trade between Thailand and Cambodia went up by 8%. Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh said yesterday the trade between went up to $1.93 billion. The export of Cambodia to Thailand was 125.6 million dollars, which is 17% lower compared to the same period last year, whereas the export of Thailand to Cambodia went up by 10% to 1.8 billion dollars. Director of Thai embassy's Foreign Trade Promotion Office, Jiranan Wongmongkol said trade between the two countries is seeing better recovery since August when the Pheu Thai Party came to power led by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. From EDITOR's Desk August 13, 2011 17 years later, the story continues with a simple photograph of a sea green eyed girl when a casual photography by McCurry turned out to be one of those captivating portrait that sear the heart and ran on the cover of National Geographic magazine in June 1985. The shy girl was among hordes of refugees at the refugee camp in Pakistan. The anger of those haunted eyes was apparent, which swept away the photography fraternity and not least the whole world, but after 17 years nobody actually remember her, even her name. The year is 2011 when a team from National Geography Television & Films brought McCurry to Pakistan to search the immortal face. They searched around Nasir Bagh where the refugee camp still stands lonely among multitude. After showing her photographs to number of people, they came to know the girl in the picture returned to Afghanistan and now lived in the mountains near Tora Bora. So, they decided to hunt the girl.
